Heiress Evna

Set on the backdrop of an ancient civilization where the pantheon dictates your disposition, the heiress is born under the god of anger, the first of her kind in a positively ruled empire. When Evna finds the gruesome aftermath of her younger brother’s abrupt death, she is overcome by emotion she can no longer control and as a result flees her home. Evna finds respite in the city with extended family as she tries to balance the normalcy of creating new bonds alongside healing after the upheaval of grief.

It is important to note that this is not a myth retelling nor inspired by the ages of classical antiquity. Instead, this is a work of fiction heavily influenced by the Late Bronze Age (Prehistoric Malta, Mycenaean Greece, and Egypt’s New Kingdom ala The Prince of Egypt) and my insistent admiration of ancient peoples and their artwork.
